The 2008 vintage gifted our sub-appellation with a fairly early and small harvest in terms of yields. It was a year of extremes with a challenging early frost followed by a dry spring and a subsequent warm growing season. The quality is superlative. 2008 is much like the preceding vintage: small berry size and warm temperatures resulted in very concentrated flavors. Stags Leap District shines again with wines of vibrant aromatics, elegant but powerful structure and extreme age worthiness.
This limited release, the only one of its kind from an American Viticutural Area, offers enthusiasts a unique one-stop-shopping opportunity to taste the power and grace, lush fruit and soft tannins notorious in the appellation's critically acclaimed Cabernet Sauvignons.
