"Ultimately, of course, it is human intervention that turns a landscape into a vinescape. Selection of plant material, methods of cultivation and, perhaps most important, timing of the harvest have everything to do with how the land is expressed in wines."

Baldacci Family Vineyards
Baldacci Family Vineyards is located on the southern facing slope of a single, gentle knoll in the Stags Leap District. The loamy and clay soils provide the foundation for the classic elegance of our Cabernet Sauvignon. As relative newcomers, our 2000 vintage was released in 2003. We have continued each year to produce 3 distinct Estate Cabernet Sauvignon wines from our 17 acre parcel — the IV Sons Cabernet, the Black Label Cabernet and, our flagship wine, the limited release Brenda's Vineyard Cabernet. Our winemaker, Rolando Herrera, has a philosophy that is rooted in the vineyard with block by block grape selection and minimal handling. The hallmark of our wines is their exceptional flavor and character. The wine exhibits aromas of ripe cherry, blackberry and chocolate with slight hints of cedar and mint. The firm yet velvety tannin structure and well-balanced acidity ensures that the wine ages superbly for many years.
